Biography
Philip D. Reynolds, PhD, serves as Associate Dean of Student Services and Associate Professor of Pharmacology for ACOM. He received his BS degree in Biology from Troy University and later his PhD in Pharmacology from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine. Dr. Reynolds completed a postdoctoral training program at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He previously served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences and the Director of the Health Professions Advising Office at Troy University. His teaching experience spans subject areas of anatomy, physiology, histology, biochemistry, and public health. As the Health Professions Advisor at Troy, Dr. Reynolds taught medical career courses, served as the advisor for Alpha Epsilon Delta Pre-Medical Honor Society, and helped students in all aspects of preparing applications for professional schools in a variety of medical disciplines. While at Troy University, Dr. Reynolds headed the development of a satellite medical school classroom affiliated with A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Mesa, Ariz. (ATSU-SOMA) through a collaborative effort with the Alabama Medical Education Consortium. After serving as a facilitator and adjunct professor in pharmacology for two years, he transitioned to a full-time position with ATSU-SOMA in 2010 as one of the Regional Directors for Medical Education for the Troy, Ala. site and Assistant Professor of Pharmacology.
